DURHAM, N.C. – With a walk-off home run from senior Sydney Bolan to cap off the night, junior Shelby Walters recorded the program's first no-hitter as No. 14 Duke defeated NC Central, 8-0, in five innings on Thursday night at the Duke Softball Stadium.
The Blue Devils improve to 14-1 in the 2021 campaign, extending their win streak to eight games, while the Eagles move to 0-10.
With the five-inning win, Walters permanently inked her name in the record book as the first Blue Devil to register a no-hitter.
