DURHAM, N.C.— Coming off closing the fall season with her second collegiate victory at the Landfall Tradition, senior Virginia Elena Carta turned in a solid first four tournaments of the 2018-19 campaign. The 2016 NCAA Individual Champion totaled a 72.00 stroke average in the fall, while finishing tied fifth and tied first to round out 2018. A native of Udine, Italy, Carta recently received an invitation to play in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship.
