BLACKSBURG, Va. – Senior Isabel Wakefield earned silver in the women's pentathlon as the Blue Devils wrapped up the opening day of the 2022 ACC Indoor Championships Thursday evening.
Wakefield secured her spot on the All-ACC First team and earned her second-career All-ACC honor after finishing as runner-up in the event with 4,147 points. Her performance included a pair of first-place finishes in the 60-meter hurdles (8.20 seconds) and long jump (6.11m (20-0.50 feet)) – the latter improving her No. 4 all-time program mark. Wakefield also took second in the pentathlon 800m run with a 2:14.
