Duke suffered a humiliating loss on Wednesday night against North Carolina State, but Virginia Tech suffered an absolute crushing defeat in triple overtime against the Miami Hurricanes.
It was truly a back-and-forth game between the Hokies and Hurricanes as Virginia Tech led by as many as seven, but trailed by as many as 12 points which resulted in a 102-95 loss in 3OT.
Under first year head coach Mike Young, Virginia Tech has experienced some big victories this season, most notably against then No. 3 Michigan State in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational and a double overtime win over North Carolina in conference play.
