DURHAM- Freshman Aminah Vega blasted a two-run home run over the left field wall to lift No. 14 Duke softball over No. 6 Florida State, 2-1, on Saturday during the second game of the weekend series at Duke Softball Stadium.
The Blue Devils (26-6, 8-3 ACC) bounced back from a 4-1 loss to the Seminoles (25-7, 4-1 ACC) on Friday to tie the series up at 1-1 and hand Florida State its first conference loss. The rubber match is set for Sunday at noon at Duke Softball Stadium and will be the Blue Devils' mental health awareness game.
