DURHAM, N.C.—Duke senior close defenseman Cade Van Raaphorst was tabbed the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after a standout effort in a 2-0 week for the Blue Devils. The award is the first of the season for him and the fourth different Blue Devil to garner the accolade.
Van Raaphorst was outstanding in both outings for Duke last week as it defeated Utah by a 17-11 score midweek and No. 5 Towson 12-10 Saturday.
The Phoenix native, following a solid effort against first-year program Utah, was excellent in the weekend’s top-five matchup with the Tigers.
