DURHAM, N.C.—Duke junior close defenseman Cade Van Raaphorst has been named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week following his standout performance in the Blue Devils’ 8-2 victory over No. 10 Notre Dame Saturday. This is the first ACC weekly award for Van Raaphorst this season and the fourth time a Duke player has taken home the honor in 2018.
Van Raaphorst helped anchor a strong defensive effort as the Blue Devils picked up their 10th win of the year by keeping Notre Dame to just two goals overall and scoreless in the second half.
