DURHAM – Duke rookie forward Thorleifur Ulfarsson has been named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week and the College Soccer News National Player of the following his hat trick in the Blue Devils' 3-1 road victory at Virginia Sunday afternoon. This is the first ACC and College Soccer News player of the week award for the Blue Devils this season.
Ulfarsson registered all three of Duke's goals as the Blue Devils opened a 3-0 lead on the Cavaliers in Charlottesville. It is the first hat trick by a Blue Devil since Zach Mathers had one against NC State in 2015.
