UConn Huskies' Breanna Stewart, Michigan Wolverines' Sierra Romero up for Honda Award honors

NEW YORK -- Connecticut basketball star Breanna Stewart and Michigan softball player Sierra Romero are among 12 Honda Award recipients who will vie for the top honor on Monday.

The Honda winners are eligible for the Collegiate Female Athlete of the Year award. The 40th edition of the award recognizes leadership, academics and community service and will be handed on the campus of USC in Los Angeles.

The other winners are USC's Samantha Bricio (volleyball), Duke's Virginia Elena Carta (golf), Virginia's Danielle Collins (tennis), Maryland's Taylor Cummings (lacrosse), Syracuse's Alyssa Manley (field hockey), Courtney Okolo (track & field), Penn State's Raquel Rodriguez (soccer), Notre Dame's Molly Seidel (cross country), Florida's Bridget Sloan (gymnastics) and Louisville's Kelsi Worrell (swimming & diving).
