DURHAM, N.C. – Blue Devil freshman Caroline Hanan has been named a 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholar of Distinction, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Monday.
The Division I Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year. A total of 140 student-athletes were honored this year.
A freshman back from Sugar Land, Texas, Hanan saw the field in 21 of 22 contests for the Blue Devils during the fall.
