Tuesday Takeaways: Weather Sinks Duke; Final Exams Wait

Duke Falls to Syracuse in Weather Delayed Title Game

The Blue Devils had put together a 3-1 run to pull within one, 9-8, against the Orange in the ACC title game Sunday afternoon before the weather gods decided it was time to halt the game. Both teams were sent to the locker rooms due to lightning in the area. And then the rain came in droves and submerged the field at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Three hours later, both teams moved to a turf field adjacent to the main stadium to finish the final 7:10 left in the fourth quarter.
