WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—The trio of Oderah Chidom, Lexie Brown and Rebecca Greenwell combined for 59 points as the 13th-ranked Duke women’s basketball team took down Wake Forest, 79-53, Thursday evening at Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The Blue Devils (23-4, 11-3 ACC) opened the game with a strong start taking a 7-2 lead, but the Demon Deacons came back to even the score, 11-11, at the 2:09 mark of the first quarter. Sophomore Kyra Lambert drove down the court as time was about to expire and drained a long two-pointer to give Duke a 13-11 lead at the end of the first 10 minutes.
