Toronto Blue Jays offense can’t bail out Marcus Stroman against Yankees

The last time Marcus Stroman was on the mound pitching in a competitive fashion was on June 29 against the Kansas City Royals.

In that game, Stroman only tossed 66 pitches in four innings, allowing four hits and three runs while walking two and striking out four.

The former Blue Devil was then named to his first All-Star game but a few days later it was announced Stroman would not make his next scheduled start or pitch in the All-Star Game due to a pectoral injury.

After not pitching in the first two games after the All-Star Break on Friday and Saturday, Marcus Stroman was back on the hill against one of the MLB’s best, the New York Yankees.
