August 19 August 20 2001 - Women's Basketball - Duke closed its trip to Australia, after visiting Sydney, Brisbane and Canes. 2015 - Women's Golf - Leona Maguire was named winner of the Mark H McCormack Medal as the leading women's golfer in the 2015 World amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
2005 - Women's Basketball - Monique Currie and the 2005 USA Women's World University Games Team knocked off Serbia & Montenegro, 79-52, in Izmir, Turkey to claim the gold medal. She notched eight points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in the victory.
