RALEIGH, N.C. – Duke's Third Varsity Eight and Varsity Four highlighted the first day of the 2024 ACC Rowing Championships with a pair of first-place finishes at Lake Wheeler on Friday.
The No.15 Blue Devils advanced all five boats to the Grand Finals on Saturday after the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Four collected strong second-place finishes to round out the racing.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Duke's 3V8 opened the competition with the first victory of the day, clocking a time of 6:58.966, to cruise past the second-place crew from Notre Dame by nearly seven seconds.
