Alex O’ Connell didn’t get the publicity that some of his teammates got out of high school, but despite his thin frame he’s shown a lot of potential.
Most of it has been centered around his shooting though. That’s really valuable - three point shooting makes this team even more dangerous offensively because it opens up driving lanes - but it’s not all he is capable of.
O’Connell has shown lately that he is capable of a lot more. The defensive mind set of Duke’s best defenders is trickling down to everyone else and O’ Connell has improved there.
