Terrible News From Syracuse As Jim Boeheim Was Involved In A Traffic Fatality Wednesday Night

Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim was driving last night when he struck and killed a man on Interstate 690.

The victim, Jorge Jiminez, had left his car which had had struck a guard rail. According to Syracuse.com, Boeheim swerved to miss the car, which was in the road, and hit Jiminez.

It’s a terrible thing to hear, first of all for Jiminez and his family. They have suffered a terrible loss.

It also can’t be easy for Boeheim. Taking someone’s life, even if this is ruled a blameless accident, is something terribly traumatic and which you can’t easily escape.
