DURHAM – Duke long snapper John Taylor was named to the 2021 Patrick Mannelly Award watch list, the organization announced Monday.
Taylor was tabbed one of 10 semifinalists for the award in 2020.
A native of Snellville, Ga., Taylor has seen action in 35 career games and has played 204 snaps. The 6-2, 210-pound graduate student has been the primary short snapper for the Blue Devils the last four seasons and picked up long snapping duties in 2020.
Last season, Taylor teamed up with redshirt sophomore punter Porter Wilson and kicker Charlie Ham, who were both named semifinalists for the Ray Guy and Lou Groza Awards, respectively.
