Sometimes it’s just nice to be able to pass on good news and this definitely qualifies: Syracuse’s Tiana Mangakahia has been declared cancer free.
You may recall that Mangakahia, who is an Aussie and far from home, was diagnosed with breast cancer. You just don’t imagine that happening to a college student, to someone that young, and it must have been frightening to be so far from home and with such a dire diagnosis.
We couldn’t possibly be happier for her and we hope she has a long, healthy life full of basketball, love and happiness.
