DURHAM, N.C. – Members of the Duke University swimming and diving teams spent Martin Luther King, Jr. Day taking part in the United Way of the Greater Triangle MLK Day of Service. The Blue Devils joined volunteers from the Duke and Durham community in packaging meals to fill the shelves of area food pantries.
Volunteers packaged dry ingredients for soup mixes, rice bags and bean bags. The meals will feed families in the Triangle area.
“Duke and the Durham community have given us so much during our time here so it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to give back,” said senior captain Lindsay Schlichte.
