WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Sports Commission announced the semifinalists for the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award and Duke senior Alex Stone was one of the 16 semifinalists.
Stone, a 6-foot-5 catcher from Andover, N.J., was tabbed to the Preseason Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award List and earned All-ACC second team honors behind the dish. The senior has produced a .327 average at the plate, starting all 54 games this season. He has produced 72 hits, 18 doubles, 12 home runs and 57 RBI. He adds a .
