DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University men’s lacrosse freshman Wilson Stephenson has been released from the Hospital of Special Surgery in New York City after suffering a leg injury in the Blue Devils’ NCAA quarterfinal win over Notre Dame at Hofstra University May 18.
After suffering the injury Stephenson was taken to Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, N.Y. He was transferred that evening to the Hospital of Special Surgery in New York City May 18 where he underwent multiple surgeries.
“I think I can speak for the entire lacrosse community that we are delighted to learn of Wilson’s release today from HSS,” said head coach John Danowski.
