DURHAM, N.C. – Junior Nick Stachowiak of the Duke men’s tennis team was named the Duke Student-Athlete of the Week after providing the clinching point in a comeback victory over Elon, 4-3.
Down 2-0 and 3-2, the Blue Devils were able to finalize the comeback led by Stachowiak to pick up their first win of the dual match season at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. Stachowiak registered a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 victory on court one for the final tally.He trailed 3-0 in the opening set before cutting the deficit to 4-3, but Felipe Sarrasague broke and held to end the set.
