The San Antonio Spurs have a deserved reputation for being the smartest franchise in the NBA so when they sign someone people tend to pay attention.
Well they’ve picked up former Virginia point guard London Perrantes. He isn’t necessarily a sure-fire NBA player - he might be kind of marginal. But in the right system, lots of guys can thrive.
And like San Antonio, Perrantes plays the game the right way. He may or may not stick, but you can bet Gregg Popovich loves the way he honors the game.
