Here’s a look at four ACC players who might emerge as top-flight players. Of most interest here: Duke forward Matthew Hurt, who has a chance at a really special year. He was highly effective at times as a freshman but was too slim to fully assert himself. Assuming that he’s put on muscle and weight, he’ll be much more effective.
Also listed: Georgia Tech’s Michael DeVoe, Syracuse’s Buddy Boeheim and Miami’s Chris Lykes.
DeVoe emerged as an offensive force for Georgia Tech last season, averaging 16 ppg. He should have more help this season and he’ll be a junior.
