DURHAM, N.C. – Steven Solomon will have the chance to represent his home country of Australia this coming week as he competes at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast City, Queensland, Australia.
“I’m very much looking forward to the Commonwealth Games,” said Solomon. “It’s something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time. It’s very rare that an athlete gets to compete in a major championship in their home country and I’m one of the select few that will have that opportunity. The Gold Coast is only a two-hour flight from Sydney where I grew up all my life so I have a lot of friends and family coming to the championship.
