DURHAM, N.C. -- Alex Smalley, who recently graduated from Duke as the men’s golf career scoring leader, has been selected to the 2019 Walker Cup team. Smalley becomes just the second Blue Devil to compete in the Walker Cup.
The Walker Cup is an international competition bringing together the 10 best amateur male golfer from the United States versus the best amateur golfers from Great Britain and Ireland. The United States Golf Association (USGA) chooses the American side, while the Royal & Ancient (R&A) selects Team GB&I.
