DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke All-American Emily Sklar has signed a professional contract with Vasas Óbuda in Budapest, Hungary. A member of the Middle European Volleyball Zonal Association (MEVSA) Vasas competes against teams in Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia, Croatia and the Czech Republic.
Sklar cemented her status as one of the top outside hitters in Duke history, securing three AVCA All-America citations including third-team distinction in 2013. She was the sixth player in school history to earn three All-America accolades, joining Ali McCurdy, Kellie Catanach, Rachael Moss, Ali Hausfeld and Carrie DeMange.
Sklar also earned three AVCA all-region and three All-ACC honors during her decorated career.
