Sklar Named 2015 Senior CLASS Award Candidate

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke’s Emily Sklar has been selected to the Senior CLASS Award candidate list, which recognizes 30 NCAA women’s volleyball student-athletes who excel both on and off the court.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

A two-time AVCA All-American and 2013 ACC Player of the Year, Sklar has played all six rotations as an outside hitter for the Blue Devils since her freshman season. With 1,187 career kills to her credit, she ranks 13th all-time at Duke and needs just 63 more kills to enter the program’s top 10.
