DURHAM -- Duke women's golf junior Erica Shepherd has been selected as Duke's PNC Achiever's Student-Athlete of the Week, after carding an impressive 10-under-par, 206, at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. Shepherd finished second individually and was only one stroke off the lead at the 6,393-yard, par-72 Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Shepherd, a Greenwood, Ind. native, posted rounds of 66, 70, and 70 on her way to finishing with a career-low 54-hole ledger of 206. The 206 was tied for the sixth-lowest for a Blue Devil golfer on a par-72 course.
