Second-Half Surge Helps Duke Defeat Southern Indiana

DURHAM – Duke used a 20-3 run, spanning the halftime break, to turn a 10-point deficit into an eight-point lead and never trailed again in an 80-62 victory over Southern Indiana on Friday night.

Jeremy Roach scored 16 second-half points and Kyle Filipowski secured the first double-double of his season, with 21 points and 14 rebounds. The Blue Devils finished with four in double-figures, as Tyrese Proctor and Jared McCain joined their teammates with at least 10 points. Proctor dished a game-high seven assists, his fourth game with at least five assists this season.
