DURHAM – Senior RJ Schreck hit a walk-off single down the right field line in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift Duke over No. 10 Notre Dame, 4-3, on Friday night at Jack Coombs Field.
Duke (15-20, 5-12 ACC) clinched the series over the 10th-ranked Fighting Irish (21-7, 8-6 ACC) for its first ACC series win of the season. It was Duke's second walk-off win of the year.
Sophomore Luke Storm and Schreck led the Blue Devils offensively. Storm finished 3-for-4 with a home run while Schreck went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a walk.
