DURHAM – Wrestling redshirt senior Kaden Russell has been named Duke's PNC Achiever's Student-Athlete of the Week, following a 3-0 performance on Sunday.
Russell was a key part of all three Blue Devil victories, contributing 16 of the Blue Devils 89 team points over the three dual matches against Bloomsburg, The Citadel and Presbyterian.
The Cleveland, Ohio, native opened his day with a win by fall over Bloomsburg's David Tuttle in just 49 seconds. Russell followed it up with an 18-0 technical fall win over The Citadel's Ben Stemmett (3:00) and a 16-0 technical fall win over Presbyterian's Aiden Jean (3:17).
