DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke rowing team is coming off a 2018 campaign that included three medalists and a third-place finish at the ACC Championships. While the accolades on the water are noteworthy, the accolades off the water are also making a big splash.
As a team, the Blue Devils earned a fall GPA of 3.54 and had 13 student-athletes named to the Duke Dean’s List, including six with distinction. “It didn’t take sacrifice in academics or athletics, you’re able to do both,” said senior Shannon Tierney, who is one of 39 Duke rowers who earned All-ACC Academic Honor Roll recognition a season ago.
