DURHAM, N.C. – Duke sophomore catcher Michael Rothenberg has been named to the 2019 Buster Posey Award Watch List as announced by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission earlier this week.
The commission also announced a new name for the 20th anniversary of the national collegiate catcher of the year award. Previously known as the Johnny Bench Award, the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award will continue to honor the nation’s top NCAA Division I Baseball catcher as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors.
