He’s at it again. Or, more to the point, he’s still at it.
BeeJay Anya blocked 91 shots last season, second in NC State’s recorded history and most in the ACC. Included were 10 blocks, another best at the school, in a 2014-15 game against Jacksonville. His 2.5 blocks per game were matched only by Syracuse senior Rakeem Christmas.
Anya accomplished this while playing a mere 18.0 minutes per game. That effectiveness earned him recognition as the media’s 2015 Sixth Man of the Year in the ACC, one of several peripheral categories added to the voting to contrive giving out more awards.
