Remember when former Duke star Tommy Amaker shocked everyone by taking the Harvard job?
It didn't take too long before he proved he knew what he was doing, making Harvard into, well if not the UCLA of the East, as Lefty Driesell promised to make Maryland, at least the BYU.
That might sound dismissive until you realize that BYU has played basketball since 1902 and no coach has ever had a losing career record. Add in stars like Danny Ainge and Jimmer Fredette and you get the idea. BYU is consistently good.
Amaker has given Harvard a very good basketball program.
