Quinn, Canada Close Out Group Play With 1-1 Draw

TOKYO, Japan – Former Duke star Quinn and the Canada Women's National Team advanced to the quarterfinals of the women's football tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with a 1-1 draw against Great Britain on Tuesday.

Quinn started the match for the second time in these Summer Games and the fourth time in their Olympic career. They logged 67 minutes on the back end, helping hold Great Britain to zero goals through two-thirds of the match. Canada opened the scoring in the 55th minute on a goal by Adriana Leon. Quinn's side found itself in position to potentially finish first in the group standings as time wound down, but Great Britain found the equalizer in the 85th minute on a strike from Caroline Weir.
