DURHAM – Duke baseball looks at the 2023 Major League Clubs and their affiliates, as we check in on our Pro Blue Devils across the country.
Former Blue Devils pitching coach Pete Maki helped the Minnesota Twins snap an 18-game losing streak in the playoffs and advance to the ALDS for the first time since 2002. The Twins finished the 2023 regular season with an 87-75 record, posting the sixth-best ERA in baseball at 3.87.
Fellow pitching coach Dusty Blake and the St. Louis Cardinals missed the 2023 postseason with a 71-91 record.
