PISCATAWAY, N.J. –Duke sophomore Josephine Palde scored with 2:22 remaining in the second overtime to give the 18th-ranked Blue Devil field hockey team a thrilling 1-0 victory over No. 16 Saint Joseph's. The Blue Devils finish the opening weekend at the Battle on the Banks hosted by Rutgers with a pair of overtime wins.
Senior forward Hannah Miller provided the pass to the streaking Palde down the right side. Palde got into the circle and beat the Saint Joseph goaltender for her second career goal.
How it Happened
