DURHAM – Duke men's lacrosse junior Brennan O'Neill has been selected the PNC Achievers Duke Student-Athlete of the Week following his nine-point outing in a 16-14 win over No. 1 Virginia Friday evening.
O'Neill scored six goals and added three assists to help lead the Blue Devils to a thrilling 16-14 victory at the top-ranked Cavaliers. His nine points against the conference foe are the most by a Blue Devil in an ACC contest since Justin Guterding had nine against Virginia in 2018.
The native of Bay Shore, N.Y., had a hand in four of Duke's eight first-half goals as the Blue Devils took an 8-6 lead into the locker room.
