We admire Coach K as much as anyone, but the fact is there are two great coaches in this tournament. The women won gold, with relatively little trouble, and the architect of that, and the guy who has taken women’s basketball to a whole different level, is UConn’s Geno Auriemma.
He annoys people because he talks back and he needles his rivals and people he perceives as being against him.
Both Tennessee under Pat Summitt and Duke canceled home--and-home series with UConn because, well, they basically got sick of losing to Auriemma and listening to him yap afterwards.
