DURHAM – Seventh-ranked Duke (16-1, 3-0 ACC) completed the series sweep over Syracuse (8-9, 0-3 ACC) after claiming a 3-0 victory on Sunday at Duke Softball Stadium. The Blue Devils outscored the Orange 16-0 during the conference-opening weekend.
Sophomore D'Auna Jennings led the way, batting 2-for-3 while a trio of Blue Devils finished 1-for-3 in graduate student Gisele Tapia, junior Ana Gold and sophomore Aminah Vega. Tapia also drove in all three of Duke's runs with a triple down the right field line.
