The Opening Faceoff

- Penn is Duke's third consecutive top-20 opponent. The Blue Devils defeated No. 11 Denver, 19-10 and No. 17 Delaware, 19-14. The Quakers are 0-1 after falling to No. 3 Georgetown at home, 10-8.
- Dyson Williams continued his red-hot start to the 2022 season. He leads all scorers with 22 goals and five assists for 27 points.
