DURHAM – Seventeen different Blue Devils had a hand in the victory as the 25th-ranked Duke women's lacrosse team cruised past Winthrop, 25-5, Sunday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium.
Duke's offense exploded as 12 different Blue Devils found the back of the cage, led by Katie DeSimone with six goals and an assist for a game-high seven points while freshman Caitlin Barrett collected a career-high four goals.
Eight of Duke's 25 goals were from free-position opportunities as Lexi Schmalz was 3-of-3.
