DURHAM – Freshman AJ Griffin scored 19 points and six Blue Devils reached double figures as No. 2 Duke cruised past South Carolina State 103-62 on Tuesday night.
In 21 minutes of play off the bench, Griffin connected on 7-of-8 shots while tallying four rebounds and four assists. Classmate Trevor Keels added 14 points, senior Joey Baker scored 13 and freshman Paolo Banchero had 12 along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Junior Wendell Moore Jr., netted 11 points and Mark Williams had 10 points and three blocks for Duke (8-1), which returned to the court after a two-week break for exams.
