COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Thirteenth-ranked Duke captured a 17-12 victory over 25th-ranked Johns Hopkins in NCAA Tournament first round action Friday evening in College Park, Md.
With the victory, the Blue Devils improve to 16-3 overall.
Three Blue Devils registered hat tricks, with sophomore Katie Keller posting a career-high six points to help the Blue Devils advance to the second round. Four additional Blue Devils reeled in four-point performances as Katie DeSimone, Olivia Carner, Catriona Barry and Abby Landry demonstrated Duke's balanced offense.
