No. 13 Duke Breaks Through Late, Downs Georgia Tech 3-1

ATLANTA, Ga. – No. 13 Duke softball (16-3, 3-0 ACC) saw a seventh-inning offensive breakthrough, powering past Georgia Tech, 3-1, for an ACC-opening sweep on Sunday afternoon at Shirley Clements Mewborn Stadium.

Peyton St. George pitched a gem in the circle for the Blue Devils, collecting her seventh win of the season in a complete game. She allowed just three hits and one earned run, while striking out nine. Caroline Jacobsen and Gisele Tapia drove in all three runs in the seventh inning to lead the Blue Devil offense.
