DURHAM – No. 9 Virginia scored four runs in the top of the second inning and never looked back to defeat No. 11 Duke, 7-3, at Jack Coombs Field on Friday night. Junior was pegged with the loss after allowing six runs on seven hits in his three innings of work.
Graduate Ben Miller continues to be a machine at the plate, collecting another multi-hit contest and scoring a pair of runs. Freshman AJ Gracia also joined Miller as the only two Blue Devils with multiple hits on Friday, posting a 3-for-4 day at the plate.
