DURHAM – Junior Alex Stone extended his career long hitting streak to 21 games on Wednesday, singling to right center field to score Alex Mooney and Jay Beshears, to lift No. 10 Duke (33-14) to a 4-3 victory over Rider (31-16) at Jack Coombs Field.
Freshman Aidan Weaver made his first collegiate start against the Broncs, working three innings of no-hit baseball. Fellow freshman James Tallon picked up his 10th save of the season, recording the final six outs of the ballgame.
